Entivity
Partners with Viewtronix to Introduce a Fully Integrated Automated
Control System
Ann Arbor,
MI - August 10, 2001 Entivity, A Phoenix Contact Company, the leading supplier of
PC-based automation and control software, has announced a partnership
agreement with Viewtronix, a wholly owned subsidiary of Xycom Automation,
also based in Ann Arbor, MI, to offer a fully integrated control
solution based on Entivity's Studio control software and Viewtronix
Shoebox industrial computer system.
Entivity's Studio
product, with integrated Visio technology for control logic and
HMI, combines advanced control and information technologies to equip
users with the most complete and comprehensive software solution.
Built-in productivity analysis, enterprise connectivity, and transparent
scalability across the full range of Microsoft Windows platforms,
combine to dramatically accelerate automation implementation.
"Many of our
customers requested a ruggedized PC, yet do not want a fully integrated
flat screen. Additionally, we have many customers that use a white
box, but need an independent external ruggedized display. The Viewtronix
partnership allows us to provide both these full solutions to our
customers, from a single source..", said Jeff Fisher, VP of Sales
for Entivity.
The "shoebox"
PC is a PC system designed for panel mount or tabletop mounting.
It has a full 800Mhz Intel Pentium III processor running with Windows
2000, and is designed to meet the needs of OEMs using Windows based
software programs.
"We are pleased
to offer a proven, robust solution through our partnership with
Xycom and Viewtronix", said Ken Spenser, President & CEO of
Entivity. "Our industry leading control and visualization software,
combined with Viewtronix Industrial PC's provides customers with
a broad selection of product configurations which have been proven
in very demanding applications."
Nic Gihl, President
of ProFace America, owner of Xycom and Viewtronix states: "Our purchase
of Viewtronix is further validated by the partnership with Entivity.
We continue to offer our customers the most complete line of PC
Control solutions by utilizing the best software and hardware platforms.
We are pleased to strengthen our relationship with Entivity."
