Automation ProjectNet (APN) is an industrial-strength document management and collaboration tool.

The successful implementation and delivery of an automation project requires a high degree of coordination between a team comprised of employees from various entities. The OEM, the system integrator and the automation supplier each provide a unique function necessary to deliver a final product to the customer. The OEM or machine builder is responsible for the actual design, build and delivery of the automation equipment to the customer. The automation supplier provides the various automation components required for the control and monitoring of the automation equipment. System integrators, contractors and consultants are often hired by the OEM to assist and augment the OEM workforce.

Entivity screen shapes and Microsoft Visio make an unbeatable combination when you use them to create Studio HMI screens.

Studio HMI Tip: Studio Intelli-Shapes can be easily connected together to meet your HMI needs.

Figure 1: shows a T pipe segment that needs to be connected to the straight pipe. By selecting the area closest to the connection point you wish to attach to the straight pipe (A,B,or C), then drag the shape to the connection point.

Results: Watch how the shape will self rotate to meet your connection needs.

Did you know? Studio supports a vast array of Picture Formats for edit and display shapes.

You can right click on an edit or display shape and select Picture Format to configure. (example: 00.000, #.00#,...)

Got Questions? eAnswer is the Place

Visit eAnswer on the Entivity Web Site!

The Entivity eAnswer system is a browser-based knowledgebase system that empowers Entivity's customers to find the information that they need, when they need it. eAnswer is available from the Support page on the Entivity Website.

All customers have had access to the eAnswer system since it's inception at the end of 1998. eAnswer has had almost 128,000 hits and almost 24,000 specific searches since then, helping customers across the globe find answers to issues even when their local time zones and holidays make contact difficult.

eAnswer is also an ideal way to submit technical support questions. When someone posts a new question here, emails are dispatched immediately to all Entivity support engineers notifying them of a new incident. It is not uncommn to receive responses to incidents posted late at night, weekends, and holidays.
