| Customer Profile
of the Month - Sorrento |
|

|
Sorrento Electronics designs, develops,
and manufactures secure and highly reliable microprocessor/ PC-Based
control and information handling systems. They serve the petroleum,
chemical, nuclear/radiation monitoring, high power systems, and
components industries.
|
|
Sorrento was immediately impressed
with the ease of programming, connectivity, and HMI development.
Sorrento was able to replace competitor's systems by creating
a single display unit that allows truck drivers to load the trucks
and monitor the progress. The flowchart programming offered by
Entivity Studio made the programming easy for anyone to develop
and understand, ultimately reducing programming time dramatically.
"In
the past, we've programmed similar devices in assembly language,
which is very powerful but has not graphic capability. Studio
provided the graphical environment and simple programming that
lets anyone with common sense develop a control system."
-
Ladislao Kalmar, Design Engineer

The Entivity eAnswer system is a browser-based
knowledge base system that empowers Entivity's customers to find
the information that they need, when they need it. eAnswer is
available from the Support page on the Entivity Website.
All customers have had access to the eAnswer
system since it's inception at the end of 1998. eAnswer has had
over 200,00 hits and almost 40,000 specific searches since then,
helping customers across the globe find answers to issues even
when their local time zones and holidays make contact difficult.
eAnswer is also an ideal way to submit technical
support questions. When someone posts a new question here, emails
are dispatched immediately to all Entivity support engineers notifying
them of a new incident. It is not uncommon to receive responses
to incidents posted late at night, weekends, and holidays.
