Access VLC Array and Structure Elements from
VLC MMI
By default, array and structure tags defined
in VLC projects are not available in VLC MMI. However, it is possible
to add tags to a VLC MMI project that correspond to individual
array or structure elements in the VLC.
|
|
After doing so, array or structure elements
can be used on VLC MMI screens or in Cicode functions in the same
manner as other tags.
A
description of how to create such tags in VLC MMI is available
in eAnswer.
To look up information on accessing array and
structure elements from VLC MMI, navigate to eAnswer in your Internet
browser, [http://entivity.custhelp.com/]. Then, click Find Answers.
When the Answer tab opens, choose Steeplechase Visual Logic Controller
from the Product list. In the Search Text field, enter 378. From
the Search by list, choose Answer ID. Click Search.

Microsoft Visio powers Studio's
HMI Screen Development System
|
|

Visio
& Studio Integration
|
Entivity screen shapes and Microsoft Visio make
an unbeatable combination when you use them to create Studio HMI
screens.
|
|
Studio HMI Tip: Did you know that
Studio allows multiple HMI shape configuration at the same time?
Entering values in the Screen properties when you have multiple
shapes selected will configure all the selected shapes with the
same expression. The screen properties will always display the
expressions for the primary selected shape in design center (the
shape with green selection handles). If any additional shape has
a different expression then the primary shape, the background
for that property will be yellow, informing you that any change
to this expression will affect the behavior of another shape.
Visio Tip:
Try these control key combinations in Design Center.

The Entivity eAnswer system is a browser-based
knowledgebase system that empowers Entivity's customers to find
the information that they need, when they need it. eAnswer is
available from the Support page on the Entivity Website.
All customers have had access to the eAnswer
system since it's inception at the end of 1998. eAnswer has had
almost 128,000 hits and almost 24,000 specific searches since
then, helping customers across the globe find answers to issues
even when their local time zones and holidays make contact difficult.
eAnswer is also an ideal way to submit technical
support questions. When someone posts a new question here, emails
are dispatched immediately to all Entivity support engineers notifying
them of a new incident. It is not uncommn to receive responses
to incidents posted late at night, weekends, and holidays.
Here
are some tips on searching...
