DESCRIPTION
The Think & Do DataPack is a low-cost solution for systems that do not need all the power that the full packaged controls product has to offer. It allows stand-alone systems to retrieve real-time data from a runtime system. The runtime system can be running either Think & Do Live! or Think & Do Studio on a variety of platforms such as Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows NT Embedded. Additionally the DataPack can connect to a Think & Do WinPLC, a Phoenix Contact CP Panel, or an Intelligent Instrumentation EDAS CE powered by Windows CE. The methods of data retrieval are:

• Standard OPC Interface - Use our OPC Server to connect Windows CE systems to any OPC standard client
• Support for DDE - DDE clients, such as Excel are able to share data in Entivity's Runtime Engine
• Custom OCX Component - Use Ntag OCX in Visual Basic or Visual C++ to read/write data in the Entivity Runtime
• COM/DCOM Interface - Provides developers a method for creating a custom program in Visual Basic or Visual C++ that can read/write data and control the Entivity Runtime
• CE Watch - Allows users to monitor CE Runtimes, download/upload programs to/from the CE Runtime, and control program execution.

The Think & Do DataPack is sold as a site-licensed product and is redistributable. There isn't any ESS associated with the product, so if a new version comes out, then a new purchase is required.
